While video games are great for a variety of reasons--from having fun with friends to de-stressing at the end of a long day, especially with the latest Tetris aesthetics--they are also wonderful for learning new things. We used a typing video game to help our teen learn to type, and many industries rely on video games to help train employees. But now I'm learning about how video games can even teach players about social justice and activism, and I want to know more!
As a sucker for all things countdown, blind bag, subscription box and kit, sometimes I feel embarrassed about loving these items that are obviously curated to make you addicted to them in the first place. But they are so fun! Surprises, especially surprises centered around a theme you know you love, are totally my jam, but I try to be careful about buying things of that nature for other people unless I know they'll love it, too.
